“make of it”?  Not much.  His voice is needed as are others.

I think it’s just as the good Archbishop said—each have made their own decision about what to do about Lambeth.  Some have decided to stay away in protest, others have decided to go and protest.  I see pros and cons for both.  I respect my soon-to-be primate’s decision to go, and hope he is able to get through to those who are there and teach them some truth!!!

I was surprised, but glad, to see of Mario Bergner’s presence.  Will he be at Lambeth?  If so, Matt, Sarah, Ruth, et al should try to spotlight his presence and that of any ex-gay ministries to offset all the hoopla that G. Robinson will undoubtedly get.

This may sound silly, but I worry about the orthodox going to Lambeth.  I always remember what Mom said.  Don’t expose yourself to that which you believe is in error.  God go with Archbishop Venables and the rest of our noble, orthodox bishops who are making the journey….

If anyone can speak forcefully, yet seasoned with grace, to the mounting pseudo-civility of the fence sitters and the isogetes of what passes for the CofE and their minions, it would be the good Abp. Veanables.  I am however reminded of a conversation I had with a leader from the South American church who when I broached the subject of increasing heterodoxy in North America, never thought it would have the slightest impact on his ministry or church and a mere eight years later, we find ourselves in an increasingly untenable situation which desperately needs to be rectified.  Personally, I’m more than heartened by Archbishop Venables, and am more than glad that the Diocese of San Joaquin is currently a part of his jurisdiction . . .my only wish is that those of us in Northern California who are outside of the Diocese of San Joaquin would also find some kind of safe harbor with a real pastoral provision for us as well.

Carloarturo, I’ve been informed by Bishop Schofield directly that he has quite a few clergy from outside our diocese under his wing, but I’m not sure about their parishes.
