It’s a boom time for lawyers
The loose-leaf binders on Beverly Hills attorney Paul Kiesel's blond wood shelves contain hundreds of stories alleging deception, loss and heartache.
Kiesel is representing struggling homeowners who contend they were misled about the terms of their mortgages. He is far from the only lawyer finding himself busy these days as a result of the hard economic times.

And it’s just going to get better for us. One of the points in the second debate that was overlooked was when Obama said that health care is a right. That means a lot of jobs for lawyers - more administrative law judges, like we have in Social Security, a lot of government attorneys processing and defending claims, attorneys to represent people seeking health care, etc.
This is full employment for attorneys! Of course, it doesn’t mean anything productive will be added to the economy, but it does mean a lot more work.
It’s a great time to be an attorney.
