And not just in a bad economy.  In the Roaring 90’s I went to my last choice out of eleven schools because the half scholarships I was offered by the other ten weren’t enough.  College costs are out of control.

I completed my college work at age 51 at a little known college in Orlando FL (FTU) The degree was quite adequate to allow me to work as an electronic engineer until retirement (~2003)  There are some super duper colleges with nice names and big budgets but I wonder sometimes if presitge and $ are as good as a having a good brainal computer between your ears: to start with at least??
