Is it me, or is this headline rather clueless?

I hope we can eventually stop kidding ourselves.  “Beheading” is a part of “abuse?”  What?  Come on!!  What we have here is one of many, worldwide, that should be clueing us in, soopner or later, to the fact that Islam is a violent “religion.”  Killing is fine, so long as it is somehow defined by the tenets of “the faith.” 
When did we ever get the idea that, just because two faiths worship one god, that they both worship the SAME God?  We better get a clue, and fast.

Beheading, stoning, crucifixion, cutting off limbs, lashes:  Welcome to barbaric practices of Sharia law - this is the law that Rowan Williams would permit in the UK and globally.  There are other delights, like entitlement to rape, and the UK is fraught with ‘asian’ (alias middle easterners) raping women.  Lambeth is the rape capital of the UK.  This is what that come when a country allows an influx of people who refust to live fully under civilized western law and become a naturalized citizens (to the good parts of our culture, not the promiscuity and decadence) of the countries where they immigrate.
This cruel treatment of women must not be tolerated.

“Is a Muslim woman’s life not worth a five-minute report?” Pappas asked. “This was, apparently, a terroristic version of ‘honor killing,’ a murder rooted in cultural notions about women’s subordination to men.”

I don’t often agree with “NOW” but I wholeheartedly agree with what Marcia Pappas, president of the New York chapter of the National Organization for Women had to say about this.

It must be distressing to Ms. Pappas to see that her place in the heirarchy of official victimhood has fallen below that of Islam.  The multicultural wars will not be without casualties, Ms. Pappas.  Perhaps aligning with principle will, in the long run, advance your agenda more than charging to trendy saltlicks.

MS. Pappas has had her say on this subject, now I wonder if Susan Russell will consider this a subject worthy of her comment.

According to the story, the mosque the murdered woman attended is now sponsoring a conference of women to talk about abuse.  This is a good thing.  In Western countries, where Muslim women are relatively more free than in Islamic countries, it may be women who will be able to move Islam in a modern direction, leaving behind the traditional mistreatment.  Naturally, I’d like to see them all become Christians, but realistically we know that won’t happen, so we should applaud any movement that takes Islam away from its brutal medieval roots.
