It is difficult to be imagine a more credulous and gullible “reporter” than the one who conducted this interview.

To take one howler among many: “Robinson makes no secret of the fact that while he is socially relatively liberal, he is theologically conservative.”

Right.

Contrast this post on T19 with the one immediately following with Bishop Todd Hunter and Christianity Today.  A starker illustration of the   chasm in Anglicanism today can hardly be found.

frdarin,

Yes, I compared the two interviews.  Both of them are dangerous to Anglicanism.  VGR has already done much damage.  “Bishop Hunter” has the potential to do much damage to Anglicanism.  He stated that the “churches” he was going to plant “will be Anglican in theology and Anglican in polity, but they may not look Anglican.”  If they don’t “look Anglican” then they are going to be more of the “generic evangelicals pretending to be Anglican” which we already have too much of.  The liturgy, vestments and “look” of an Anglican Church are essential parts of Anglicanism.  (If one uses the Prayer Book then the church would have to “look Anglican.”)
