Discontented Anglicans who convert must not become a "sect" within the Roman Catholic Church, a senior Catholic clergyman dealing with church unity has warned.
Anglicans who object to plans for women bishops are considering the Vatican's invitation to become part of a special section - an "ordinariate" - within the church in England and Wales.
Monsignor Andrew Faley, Assistant General Secretary of the English and Welsh Catholic bishops' conference, told the BBC News website that ordinariate members would be expected to co-operate with their local bishop and the life of their local Catholic parish.

No, not really. It’s clear about Catholicity and co-operation in the Anglican Constitution. Everything will be worked out slowly, carefully and with expectations that will be met. This is not a gathering of the disgruntled but of prodigals returning home. December 12, 4:15 pm | [comment link] |

Columcil, I’m not sure, but it seems from your last sentence that maybe you are misunderstanding austin’s meaning. I don’t believe he was talking about disgruntled incoming Anglicans but about the disgruntled British Catholic bishops. From what I’ve heard, he’s right and he has made some good points. One sees the wisdom of the Holy Father in establishing the Ordinariates—the Catholic establishment, if it had jurisdictional power over groups of Anglicans, would do their best to stamp out their individual charism, especially anything that seemed suspiciously ‘traditional But, as I read the document, the Anglican groups would be even better protected than religious orders. Which really means that the good monsignor is talking out of his hat.
