This is a most important document, and should be studied carefully by anyone with an interest in the future of the Anglican Communion.  One hopes that the elves can be persuaded not to bury the thread under a mountain of financial, economic, social, and sports related “Anglican” news.  Download the .pdf and make it part of your Lenten readings.

Dr. Noll’s essay will be thoroughly studied, no doubt, by the attendees of the South to South Encounter meeting in April. Whether they act on Dr. Noll’s specific recommendations or not, I will be praying that they take decisive, unified action to reclaim the episcopal governance of the Anglican Communion, as it appears this may be the last chance before the new “Standing Committee” bureaucracy consolidates the overthrow of bishops in the Communion (that last is my opinion, and not necessarily Dr. Noll’s opinion).
