“The Senate Democrats appear to be pushing off this meeting so that House Democrats will remain in the dark about what is likely to happen to the reconciliation bill on which many have staked their careers in Congress.”

This is sort of like committing a military unit, the Democrats in the House of Representatives, to life threatening battle without telling them that is is quite possible that their losses of life will have been wasted losses of life.

This is deceitful behavior, at best.

I’ve been listening this evening to C-Span and the Republicans seem to be making better arguments.  Congressman Shuler of Western NC has announced he will vote no -  60+% of his constituents but not the liberal Asheville newspaper agree.  If the leadership has given him permission to do so I think they have the votes to pass the bill. He has 2 million in campaign funds and weak Republican opposition.

Well, the Party of Death succeeded in passing the bill in the House.

How can anyone look at an ultrasound of a baby and not understand that they are looking at a person?

This is sick and wrong and evil.

I said this once months ago, but the term “Pro-life Democrat” for any politician is an oxymoron.  Did (former) Rep. Stupak miss basic Civics that states that a Presidential Executive Order is trumped by legislation?

Notice that Obama has not actually issued an executive order, only said he would.  Without seeing it in writing, how can anyone be sure?  Why hasn’t already issued the order?
