Right—because when he left St. John’s prior to their departure from TEC, he went to an Episcopal parish in Northern Indiana and as anyone sane can tell, that’s “leaving The Episcopal Church.”

My how they hate those who have stayed in TEC and differentiated themselves from the current leadership and direction of TEC.  They so so so so so so long for folks like Dan to leave.

It’s also interesting that +Lamb or the EDSJ has gone to the press with their bid to deny Dan Martins of his consents.

It seems to be a further indication that TEC is intent upon adopting a “secular model” of politic rather than following church’s usual practices.  I would imagine that most non-TEC dioceses would feel that such an article in a secular news source is highly inappropriate, as it raises the spectre of the issue being influenced by a vox populi and pressure groups mainly informed by the secular media’s prejudices, rather than authentic reflection on the matter itself.

One sees the hand of Jezebel behind this.  Dirty tricks.

Jerry Lamb seems to be a very bitter person; such bitterness poisons the soul.  He needs to seek counseling

Ephesians 4:31-32 “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
Matthew 5:44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”

So predictable. 

The culture of lust, lies and death always hates and opposes the Gospel and the Lord of Love, Truth and Life. 

In one of his many brilliant observations about TEC and the AC, Captain Yips has this to say (see especially his last two) about the revisionists:
“But not the sharpest satire, not the most robust analysis, will alter the course that they have set upon.  The whole-heartedly Progressive Episcopalian is armored head to toe against any conversation I have the power to start.”

A prediction: he will not get the needed consents.  The powers that be have their hands full with +Lawrence, they don’t want another.

Looking at the TEC San Joaquin ASA stats for 2009:
3 churches: 100+ 
5 churches: 50 - 99
2 churches: 30 - 49
10 churches: under 29
They probably are dealing with some bitter  issues here and they have decided to take it out on Fr. Martins’ election. If Fr. Martins doesn’t received the required consents, then this may have more reaching impact than Glasspool’s. I hope someone keeps track on the consents.

Know the anger of thy enemy.  I remember posting the day after Fr. Dan won the election that I hoped he would get the consents needed.  Several replies sort of chastised me for thinking such a thing, that he would get the consents with ease.

Looking at how the San Joaquin thing has gone and thinking how much treasure TEC must be pumping into SJ and the lawsuits, I had a feeling this type of vitriol was on the way.  And we probably haven’t seen the worst yet.  This is naked pure hate, pure and simple.

There is no such city named “Stockport”...it is called Stockton…and yes it does have a port.

I think +Lamb stepped way out of line with his letter to his fellow bishops.

Ahh, inclusivity at work ... again ... and in the same manner.  Consistency is as it does and reveals truth to outsiders, eh?

IIRC, what is SO ridiculous is that Fr. Martins, not only didn’t leave TEC, he even expressed opinions about Diocese of San Joaquin leaving that were not in lock-step with what the leavers were expressing, and he took much heat for it on Stand Firm.  Fr. Martins is the embodiment of a reasserting stayer and has made no bones about it.  If TEC were true to its propaganda, they would welcome the “diversity” of opinion he would bring to the HOB.

I have sent a letter, including the full text of Fr. Dan’s statement (see his blog for 11/1), to the Bp. and Standing Cmte. here in South Dakota.  I recommend that folks still in TEC take that action in their dioceses.
