Amen!  We went after church yesterday and were captivated.  Some of the Britain’s best acting talent in the cast.

This one’s on our list to hit in the next two weeks—we’ve about worn out babysitters for all the Xmas church activities!!  Only fair to give them a break for a bit… grin

Saw it yesterday.  Colin Firth is unbelievable.  If Academy Awards are actually for acting (which I question after Sandra Bullock won) he certainly deserves one.

Avoid Black Swan.  Why would anyone pay money to watch a beautiful gifted girl commit suicide?  (Yes, she was lost and sinful, but with much potential for redemption.)  There is not a single character filled with goodness and light, and the movie has a satanic feel to it.  I walked out in the middle.

My wife and I went yesterday.  The best movie I have seen in a very long time.  My wife wants to see it again, which is very unusual for her.

If it were possible I would give Best Actor jointly to Firth and Geoffrey Rush.  I thought Rush’s performance was every bit as good as Firth’s, and the chemistry of the movie was how they played off each other.
