What a Night in Baseball

The Rays come back from being down 7-0. One of the best base runners in the National League comes off the bag at third after successfully making it there, Jason Bourn, and is correctly called out. The Orioles have a rain delay and improbably win at the end of the ninth inning against the Red Sox. The Cardinals win and wait until the 13th inning to watch the Phillies incredibly beat the Braves.

You couldn't make it up if you tried. The Rays and Cardinals make the playoffs. Congratulations to them.

So many things come to mind to say, but the biggest is it is not over until it is over, and you always play until the last out--KSH.

I grew up an Astros fan.  They had a very impressive record of 105-57.  Unfortunately the 105 were losses. I’m not even sure there is a next year, either!

Number Three: Sure the Astros were bad, but if they play their cards right after shedding so much salary, they should be able to rebuild effectively along the new model exemplified by places like Boston.

Kendall, I’m not looking for my Birds on the Bat to go anywhere.  But this year does have a bit of a 2006 feel to it so I’m not making any official calls just yet.  grin  The Phils should take care of us in short order but we had no business making the Series at all five years ago.

#4 You hAve no idea how much I hope you are right. Roger Clemmons totally soured me to professional baseball. I live in South Carolina and went tom law school at USC so I have become a hues college baseball fan. In my youth I attened hundreds of Astros games. I hope they will come back without steroids.
