It’s a shame that it has taken me so much of my life to realize what I am finally starting to sort out now.  But this year, and in future years, I am thankful for all those “things” that God has shown me that I can easily live without;  I am thankful that He is showing me that I can actually be happier without a lot of the stuff that I once thought were needs in my life.  I am thankful that He is replacing those things with Himself, and that at least sometimes I am able to see that.

(“But I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother;  like a weaned child is my soul within me.”  (Psalm 131:2).

Opportunity.
Opportunity to do more, love more, feel more and serve more.  All is God-given opportunity.  I pray that I am wise enough to use it.
Happy Thanksgiving.

I am so thankful for my family and for my dear husband, who has Alzheimer’s.  He can still remember who I am at this point, and this is such a blessing to me.  I cannot look into the future, but I know enough about the disease to know what the future brings.  His illness has brought me to a new ministry, to help and give succor to those affected by this insidious disease.  To God be the glory.  Thank you Lord.
