The theological justification found at the “especially this one” link is weak beyond belief.

Despite Jesus’ teachngs against divorce we have come to understand that God will forgive those who do divorce.  Yes, but that does not now mean that God is blessing divorce or that we need liturgical rites of blessing of divorce—it is still sin because it is a rupture of a convenant that God created.  Wonderful straw-man positioning of divorce to create an image of biblical support for homosexuality.

Here is a beauty:

“If God is at work in the world, then our experience is a kind of scripture, and we must pay careful attention to what it is teaching us.”

And this is what a Bishop calls theological reflections???

However we interpret the seven texts used to argue against marriage equality, they pale in comparison to the over-­arching
biblical imperatives to love one another

Whatever Scripture teaches, we apparently know better.

My wife and both of her sisters were baptized as infants in the Children’s Chapel of the Washington Cathedral.

We have , as adults, have visited the cathedral and have spent many precious hours in it.

However, the revisionist statements and actions by the Diocese of Washington, DC have in a very real sense ‘de-consecrated’ that cathedral for us.

Therefore we both mourn for the death of the cathedral ‘that was’ and want to have no part of ‘the cathedral that is.’

By visiting that cathedral and/or taking part in its activities would be an act of treating it as just a normal diocesan seat.

And it is not.  It has become a highly symbolic seat of the heresies and the politicization of The Episcopal Church.
