From AP: Men want hot women, study confirms

Posted by Kendall Harmon

Science is confirming what most women know: When given the choice for a mate, men go for good looks.

And guys won't be surprised to learn that women are much choosier about partners than they are.

"Just because people say they're looking for a particular set of characteristics in a mate, someone like themselves, doesn't mean that is what they'll end up choosing," Peter M. Todd, of the cognitive science program at Indiana University, Bloomington, said in a telephone interview.

I’m glad I followed that impulse & hit “F5” for I’d nearly exactly would repeated #1.

Ladies, yes we are this shallow! That is why Proverbs 31 is *NOT* actually for you. It’s a mom instructing her son on what we should look for in a wife. The key phrase 31:30, the other two is what our fallen nature goes immediately after but she who fears the Lord is worth all her praises.

Follow on—I’ve seen so many people makes lists of Prov. 31:10-31, it sells books. One thing I noticed is it written exactly backwards to our thinking. The cause is listed in 30 but the possible effects is the front part. Thus a late riser should not feel guilty grin

What!?  Someone is talking about male/female differences???  Haven’t they gotten the message that it’s all an artificial social construct?

Darn.  Before I clicked on the link to read the article in its entirety I was hoping it meant “hot” as in very warm (i.e. possibly a little overweight, pregnant, or menopausal—literally, someone who can keep a man warm in bed on a cold winter night!)  Oh well.

Has this changed in the past 10,000 years, and if so, is it evidence of global warming?
