I honestly believe it would take something akin to the Spanish Inquisition to completely purge the Anglican Church of all it heretics.

Why does it always seen to be an Anglican?  I don’t think I would bat an eye if it were a Unitarian or Congrgationalist minister.  But I really wish I would hear about Methodist or Lutheran ministers in these stories.  I’d feel a little better.

I meant to add that I welcome Mr. Horseman’s honesty. Would there were other clergymen (of any faith) so honest about what behavior is incompatible with their orders.

ECUSA’s leadership might welcome him with open arms.

Don’t worry; there are a lot of RCC priests who are into witchcraft as well. All you have to do is research some of the sex abuse cases in Mass and Ohio.  Also, in Baptist churches, many of the ministers are freemasons.

So…it’s not only the Anglicans that are afflicted.

#1, would that include torturing people on the rack and burning them at the stake? So far, the heresy hunting has been confined to verbal assaults and labels such as heretic, apostate, unitarian, Marcionite, new-agers, gnostic, you know the litany. Shall we go a step further and have a bloody purge of those awful people and send their corrupt souls to hell?

#6, I did a number of google searches looking for such incidents involving Catholic Priests, abuse, and witchcraft or satanism.  Found nothing.  Do you have any actual evidence to back up your assertions?

#4 - I think it more likely that the Rev Horseman jumped before he was pushed. He was essentially making his living by doing funerals - ‘ash cash’ that makes up a substantial part of diocesan income in England. Ruth Gledhill reports that the CofE is moving to stamp out Anglican freelancers, so I surmise he resigned his orders - to which he seemed only very tenusously attached - so he could stay in work.

I don’t mind having heretics or unbelievers in my church.  I really don’t.  What I do mind is having unbelievers and heretics as ordained ministers of Jesus Christ.  That is like having the president of GM on the board of Ford or making Hillary the head of the Republican Party.

If you don’t believe what the Church teaches, then you shouldn’t be teaching on behalf of the Church!

You have to read alternative news sites. They are the ones who bring out more of the truth than the mainstream media. The mainstream media downplays the satanic aspects of crimes. Only if you know the signs of occult orientated crimes will you recognized the crime for what it is.

In my first posting, I was making reference to Gerald Robinson in Ohio who murdered a nun about 25 years ago. Google the article ‘Court reinstates Lawsuit involving Priests satanic rituals.’ A North County Gazette article should pop up. There is also a NY Times article on this crime as well.

Also there were several cases in Massachusetts where young boys were ritually abused by two priests, John Geoghan and Paul Shanley.

William H. Kennedy, a Roman Catholic researcher has done a lot of research in the area of satanic crime in America. You can check out his website at willianhkennedy.com. He has news articles and video clips that go into the satanic aspects of some of the most famous crimes of the pass decade and even further back. The late Jesuit priest and author, Father Malachi Martin was the one who encouraged Kennedy to look into the satanic activities within the Roman Church.

#15, I actually recall reading about the Ohio case.  1980 murder of a nun.  Horrible.  Although the only thing that was occult related was the accusations (without evidence) of a 40 year old woman who claimed she was part of a cycle of occult related abuse when she was younger.  I didn’t see any actual corroborating evidence for it. 

As for William H Kennedy, I’d probably look for more reputable resources than a guy who gives speeches on “Tony Blair’s conversion to Roman Catholicism and how this is part of an Elite Plan for World Domination”. 

This crackpot conspiracy theory stuff doesn’t really help support a real argument.

The priest in question grew up as an atheist and did little parish work even after he was ordained.  He wound up being rather tenuously related to the Church of England, and he does not seem to have minded turning in his license.

Without evidence?! There are thousands of people who have come forward with their stories of ritual abuse, whether by people in or outside of the church. A lot of this type of abuse is covered up and explained away as delusions or something of that nature. In the Robinson case, the nun had an upside down cross carved on her body and her body was ritually posed. So……that’s not occult motivated?????

William Kennedy is one of the top researchers on occult – crime connections. I bet you didn’t check out any of his information. Did you listen to any of this radio interviews on the pedophile priest situation? I bet you didn’t.  You just looked at a couple of headline and assumed he’s a crackpot. As for the speech on Tony Blair conversion/World domination, I haven’t read that article. However, the London Times and Independent Newspapers exposed Tony’s occultism back in 2004 and 2005. See London Times, March 8th, 2004; Blair made political decisions based on new age reading of a hidden force called “the Light”. He also goes to Mexico’s Aztec pyramids and participates in rebirthing rituals. See London Overseer, Dec 29, 2002.  Tony joined the RCC so that he can better position himself for the EU presidency over predominately ‘Catholic’ Europe. Blair isn’t joining the RCC for spiritual reasons. He’s joining for political reasons.

The point about Horseman, occult priests and the like clearly illustrate that Christian churches have become infested with occultism. The same goes for society at large. We are bathed in occult ideology everyday through television, our educational systems, music/entertainment industries, just to name a few. Take a look at Rowan Williams. Didn’t he participate in a Druid ceremony before his installation as Archbishop of Canterbury? What does that tell you? Don’t you think that should have disqualified him from become Abp of Canterbury?  If the “spiritual head” of the communion is partaking in pagan rituals, why can’t others like Horseman do the same?

Jim, this is the Episcopal Church.  Your question, therefore, should read “Does he weigh the same as duck confit?”

Sourcing of facts along with knowing an author’s bias is indispensible in making public assertions offered as “truth”.  Now isn’t truth a loaded word??  (wry chuckle)

Just studying Matthew 13 and the Parable of the Weeds. We should not be surprised that there are counterfeit Christians in any of our churches, the enemy is always at work! Even in the originial twelve disciples called by Jesus, there was Judas.

#29—Hey, that was the topic of our pastor’s sermon last Sunday!  Among other points, he emphasized that there are weeds in our churches that portray themselves as wheat, and not to be led astray by them, so I think we’re on the same wavelength.  No specific references, but we all knew what he was talking about, especially since many of us in our church are refugees from TEC and the UCC, which used to be the big protestant denominations around these parts but are pretty much completely falling apart now.  There’s kind of a battle for souls going on right now.  There is a general feeling among churches not to “steal sheep” from other churches, but the liberal mainline “establishments” are fair game since they are only leading people to perdition.
