Quite amusing to read this after reading the ABoC’s account in the previous thread.  They seem to have come away with much different perspectives on the meeting and what happened.  Interesting that KJS managed to avoid the camera taking the photo of the ABoC and Secretary General.  And +Rowan’s account mysteriously leaves out the key role of the PB, whose presence at the meeting he seems to have ummmmmm…..forgotten.

And, not to ask an embarrassing question, but wasn’t the TEC funding of MDGs the subject of a recent budget amendment?

This could have been the great victory for the liberals - a new religion in harmony with secular humanism, signified by the meeting of KJS and the sec-gen of the United Nations.

And yet, its all spoiled, because even KJS knows that the great liberal conversion of TEC hasn’t worked, or rather it has, but is proving worthless because the people in the pews aren’t co-operating. Whether they are refusing to co-operate with the hierarchy, or leaving for ACNA, or just leaving, the brave new world of a powerful numerous liberal church just ain’t happening.
