Taliban tighten grip on area outside Islamabad

Taliban militants appeared to be consolidating their control Thursday after this week's land-grab of a district about 96 kilometers (60 miles) from Pakistan's capital, Islamabad.

Obviously, the police official that was killed must have been killed by “friendly fire”.
This is a serious situation.  The U.S. will have a military presence in Pakistan soon. I hope it is not a unilateral decision.
