Most of you have received a message this week from the TEC Steering Committee inviting you to a "diocesan convention" to be held later this month. Our legal counsel has asked that you make the following reply to that correspondence:
You are not authorized to send an email on behalf of the Diocese of South Carolina. To state that you are is an improper use of the Diocese's name and of ours, ______________ (the name of the Parish). Please be aware of the provisions of the following sections of the South Carolina Code of Laws: Sections 16-17-310 and 320. We have provided links to those sections for your review..The links are:
