I have only been in the financial services business since 2003, but have heard this - a lot! Especially the insistence that the FA provide his or her services for free.

OK, this is pretty funny.  But I have to disagree with the guy that index funds are “not diversified and are risky.”  Of course financial advisors hate index funds—they are, as he says, “not professionally managed”—which is not a bug but the major feature! smile
