Michael, therein lies he crux of the matter for us all. What do you believe is a good question to ask and yet the answer you get from people you have worshiped with for a lifetime will stun you when a hint of crisis appears. Disingenuous is a soft way of calling someone a liar and yet for the sake of congeliality I would suggest a great deal of disingenuousness has been pervasive in the “national leadership”. Put me down as truly disappointed by those who were set in leadership that have led us to this point, and yet there is hope with the appointment of the new ABofC. Mrs Gay Clark Jennings (president of TEC HOD) writes:
Actually, we aren’t.
The vast majority of people in the Anglican Communion take the opposite view - our differences over “specific theological points” have to be discussed and resolved before we can work together for the sake of the gospel.
Two people cannot work together for the gospel unless they both believe in the same gospel.
