Louisville, Kentucky, Episcopal Minister to lead the American Cathedral in Paris
The Rev. Lucinda Laird, pastor of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, used to say she would never leave her job — unless she got a call to be pastor of the American Cathedral in Paris.
“It’s like saying, ‘Unless I fly to the moon,’ ” Laird said Friday. “It’s not possible.”

And this is the “priest” who has been picked to head the American Cathedral in Paris?
I am praying that the Lord will raise up orthodox Anglicans who have a heart for the gospel in Europe, and who are prepared to establish missions there which bypass or ignore the existing structures, in particular the TEC-affiliated churches.
Europe desperately needs the gospel, and I believe that Anglicanism is well-placed as a vehicle for the gospel which Europeans will respond to.
May it happen soon.
